The service terms that apply when you use Adaptec's website, customer portal and services.
Last updated: 4 October 2026
1. Acceptance
By using this website, creating an account, requesting a quote, placing an order or using Adaptec services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and any written quote, proposal, service schedule or agreement accepted by you.
2. Services
Adaptec provides services including business software, automation, websites, hosting, email, Microsoft 365 support, domains, maintenance and related technical services. Specific deliverables, timelines, pricing and responsibilities may be set out in a quote or written scope.
3. Quotes and orders
Quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote, or 14 days if no period is stated. An order may require upfront payment, recurring billing, setup fees or customer onboarding information before work begins.
4. Customer responsibilities
You must provide accurate information, required access, content, approvals and timely feedback. Delays in providing information or approvals may delay delivery. You are responsible for ensuring that content, data and instructions you provide are lawful and accurate.
5. Fees and payment
Fees are payable as shown on the website, invoice, quote or accepted scope. Online payments are processed through PayFast. Recurring services remain payable until cancelled in line with the applicable cancellation terms.
6. Hosting, email and third-party services
Some services depend on third-party providers such as hosting platforms, domain registries, email providers, Microsoft, PayFast or other infrastructure suppliers. Adaptec is not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes or account restrictions outside our reasonable control.
7. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, customer-provided materials remain yours. Adaptec retains ownership of pre-existing tools, frameworks, reusable components, know-how and internal processes. Custom deliverables are licensed or transferred as stated in the relevant quote or agreement, subject to full payment.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use Adaptec services for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, harmful, spam, malware, infringement or security-breaching activity. We may suspend services where needed to protect systems, customers or legal compliance.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Adaptec is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, loss of profits, loss of data or business interruption. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid for the affected service during the three months before the claim, unless a stricter written agreement applies.
10. Cancellation
Cancellation terms depend on the service type and accepted scope. Monthly and recurring services generally require written notice and may remain billable during the notice period. Domain, licence and third-party renewal fees may be non-refundable once incurred.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be published on this page.
